In honor of Women’s History Month, we are thrilled to extend a warm invitation to all global Women in DevOps for a truly unique hackathon experience. Join us for a week-long journey of exploration, collaboration, and innovation as we push the boundaries of Observability Pipelines.

This isn’t just your typical hackathon; it’s a celebration of creativity, ingenuity, and the invaluable contributions of women in DevOps, SREs, and platform engineers. From seasoned professionals to newcomers in the field, this hackathon is open to all backgrounds and skill levels.

What to Expect

Educational Workshops

Throughout the week, we’ll provide you with the tools and resources you need to explore the possibilities of Observability Pipelines. Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, there’s something for everyone to learn and discover.

Creative Collaboration

Connect with like-minded engineers from around the world, exchange ideas, and collaborate on projects that push the limits of what’s possible. This is your opportunity to network, learn from others, and forge lasting connections within the DevOps community.

Innovative Projects

Put your skills to the test and showcase your creativity by building the most complex and convoluted Observability Pipelines imaginable. From data integration to downstream systems, the possibilities are endless – and the sky's the limit.

Judging and Awards

At the end of the week, our panel of judges will evaluate the projects and declare a winner. Prizes will be awarded to those who demonstrate exceptional creativity and innovation.

Hackathon Schedule

Monday, March 25, 2024 (Virtual)

12:00 pm ET: Kickoff with Welcome

  • Join us as we kick off the hackathon with a warm welcome and introduction to the week’s events. Whether you’re participating virtually or in-person, this is your chance to connect with fellow participants, learn about the hackathon guidelines, and get inspired for the week ahead.

Monday, March 25 - April 2, 2024 (Virtual)

  • Hackathon Workshops and Submissions:
    • Throughout the week, we’ll provide you with a series of educational materials, tools, and resources to explore the possibilities of Observability Pipelines. Whether you’re new to the field or a seasoned pro, there’s something for everyone to learn and discover.
    • Put your skills to the test and collaborate with fellow participants on innovative projects that push the limits of what’s possible. From data integration to downstream systems, the sky's the limit when it comes to creativity and innovation.
  • Bonus: Blog Post or Social Post Prize
    • Share your journey of the week and the wider impact of your work through a blog post or social post using the hashtag #DevOpsHackathon. Highlight your creative process, insights gained, and the potential learnings of your project.

Wednesday, April 3, 2024 (Optional In-Person)

5:00 pm ET (1700 Broadway, New York City)

  • As the hackathon draws to a close, join us for an in-person event where the finalists will have the opportunity to showcase their projects and discuss their approach with the judges.
  • The panel of judges will evaluate the projects based on creativity, innovation, technical prowess, and overall impact. Prizes will be awarded to the winners, recognizing their exceptional contributions to the hackathon.

This hackathon is about pushing boundaries, fostering creativity, and celebrating the contributions of women in the DevOps community. So, let's unleash our creativity and pave the way for innovative approaches to Observability Pipelines!
